Dam body tilt monitoring

The dam body inclination monitoring uses fixed inclinometers with a range of ±30° and a sensitivity of ≤9″. The fixed inclinometers are arranged in the longitudinal direction of the dam within the concrete core wall and on the downstream side of the dam in two directions, with a total of three sections arranged at dam cross-sections 0+021.00, 0+041.00, and 0+061.00. One section is equipped with fixed inclinometers spaced 5m apart in the elevation direction. The installation elevation of all equipment and the elevation of the pipe openings can be appropriately adjusted based on site conditions and accurately recorded.

Automatic monitoring of settlement and tilt of the Chongqing Qijiang bridge pier

In the new construction project of the S303 line from Sanjiang to Leishendian, the Huangjing Village highway bridge under the Yuguizhou Railway Baoziyan Qijiang double-line viaduct requires deformation monitoring of the existing Yuguizhou Railway Baoziyan Qijiang double-line viaduct's affected sections 3# and 4# piers during the construction of the Huangjing Village highway bridge. The monitoring aims to ensure the safety of train operations on the existing Yuguizhou Railway during construction and to guide the construction of the S303 line.

LVT526H tilt angle remote dynamic monitoring of urban and rural building inclination and settlement

Analysis of the anti-tipping monitoring of bridge erecting machines based on tilt sensors

With the increasing frequency of bridge erecting machines being used in railway construction, overturning accidents of these machines occur from time to time. The anti-overturning device for bridge erecting machines has emerged. This device consists of two main parts: the probing wheel loading system and the monitoring control system, installed at the front of the bridge erecting machine. The tilt sensor can detect the longitudinal and lateral tilt angles of the probing wheel pair and the bridge erecting machine frame caused by subsidence of the roadbed at any time. Under the action of the probing wheel pair, if the subsidence of the roadbed exceeds the specified value, or if the tilt of the left and right tracks exceeds the specified value, the monitoring control system will promptly sound an alarm, cut off the power supply to the drive motor, and use the braking system to make the bridge erecting machine perform an emergency stop.

Application of tilt sensors in measuring the tilt of towers and buildings

The story of two iron balls landing at the same time teaches us about the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is located in the town of Pisa, Italy, and is an ancient tower made of white marble. It was built in 1173 and stands 79 feet tall. Since its completion, it has experienced multiple tilts, which can be noticed by the naked eye. We know that the tower and buildings can experience slight tilting due to construction or prolonged external factors. If the tilt becomes severe and reaches a certain angle, it may lead to collapse. To prevent and monitor the tilting of towers and buildings, we can install tilt sensors on the objects that need to be monitored.

Tilt sensor application in hydraulic and hydropower dam monitoring systems

The safety of hydropower station dams not only directly affects the benefits of the power plant itself but is also closely related to the life and property of downstream people, the development of the national economy, and the ecological environment. With the development of electronic technology and the promotion of digital communication technology, monitoring automation has been ensured. Currently, the automation of dam monitoring in the national power system has been fully implemented and is developing towards networking and intelligence. The main monitoring projects and equipment include: (1) Deformation monitoring. Dam deformation is an important monitoring project for hydropower station dams. It can be divided into two sub-items: horizontal displacement and vertical displacement. Most dams have observations of horizontal and vertical displacements at the dam crest, usually each.

Rail Transit Subgrade Settlement Monitoring Solution

Applicable scenarios for the plan: This plan mainly addresses the issues of untimely data collection for track environment monitoring, delayed monitoring information, and the difficulties in equipment management and line operation management. This plan can be applied to: 1. Deformation and settlement monitoring of subway tunnel subgrades, railway subgrades, and high-speed rail bridge subgrades during the operational period; 2. Deformation and settlement monitoring of railway subgrades under the shield tunneling; 3. Deformation and settlement monitoring of high-speed rail bridge subgrades under the shield tunneling; 4. Deformation and settlement monitoring of surrounding large structures, highways/city roads, bridges/culverts, etc. during construction;

Automated monitoring of settlement inclinometer ensures the construction and operation of bridge foundation pits.

Solution Based on the situation of the bridge and the excavation of the foundation pit, we set up monitoring points on the bridge piers and beams. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the project, we communicated multiple times with the owner to design and optimize the construction plan. We independently developed an automated remote monitoring system for the tilt and settlement of building structures. By installing static level instruments and tilt sensors throughout the bridge, we monitor the settlement and tilt of the main body of the bridge. The monitoring data of settlement and angle is displayed in real-time on the central control computer and mobile phone, providing early warning for the on-site construction conditions. With the help of intelligent monitoring from sensors, we minimize the safety risks and hidden dangers of bridge construction.
