Analysis of the subway track settlement monitoring technology plan

Project Background

   With the rapid economic development, many cities in our country have gradually increased the construction of urban subways. The construction of urban subway underground tunnels must be carried out within the geological body. Regardless of the depth, excavating tunnels will inevitably disturb the underground geological body, leading to the destruction of the original equilibrium state and gradually shifting to a new equilibrium state. Excavating the underground geological body will inevitably cause surface settlement and deformation. When the surface settlement reaches a certain level, it will affect the normal use of underground pipelines and the safety of surface buildings. During the construction period, effective measures must be taken according to requirements to reduce settlement and deformation, ensuring that surface buildings, roads, pipelines, and other structures are not damaged, and that the ecological environment does not deteriorate. During the subway operation period, it is even more important to accurately grasp the safety situation of the tunnel to ensure the safety of the subway and important facilities.

   Msensor Sensor has developed static level instruments (settlement monitoring) and tilt sensors (inclinometers) that can perform online monitoring and early warning of subway settlement and deformation indicators, with a minimum vertical monitoring capability of 0.2mm elevation change and tilt of 0.001°.

Technical Advantages

   Msensor Sensor integrates sensor research and development, production, sales, and monitoring system development, with industry experience in analysis and calculation, computer technology, communication technology, network technology, and sensor technology.

   The system reflects the settlement and deformation of the subway tunnel in real-time through static level sensors installed on-site. The data acquisition instrument collects, analyzes, and summarizes data from various sensors, transmitting the data to the monitoring room via fiber optics or other transmission methods. The monitoring and early warning software on the server in the monitoring room manages the system data.

   Once monitoring values reach or exceed the warning threshold, corresponding measures will be taken to handle the situation, such as stopping fixed-line operations or implementing reinforcement measures to ensure the safe operation of the subway tunnel and protect the life and property of the nation and its people.

Solutions

   The monitoring system mainly consists of three parts: sensor acquisition system, data communication system, and monitoring and early warning system. Based on the on-site situation, static level instruments are used to monitor the settlement of the subway tunnel.

1. Sensor Part:

   Static level monitoring involves installing instruments on one side of the tunnel wall, with a monitoring point every approximately 100 meters. A reference point needs to be established in stable areas at the starting point.

2. Data Transmission Part:

   Considering the real-time and stability of communication, and in conjunction with on-site conditions, fiber optic communication is used. The specific method can be determined on-site; for distances over 3KM, GPRS communication can be used, while distances under 3KM can consider fiber optics. Data from sensors is transmitted to the monitoring center through various transmission methods for unified calculation and processing.

   3. Data Processing and Control Subsystem: Composed of a small machine system, server system, and software system arranged in the monitoring center;

   4. Auxiliary Support System: Includes outdoor cabinets, outdoor enclosures, power distribution and UPS, lightning protection, and other subsystems.

   By installing Msensor Sensor's online monitoring system, it provides services for the daily safety management of subway rail transit and the safe operation of subways, significantly improving the understanding of settlement disaster mechanisms, enhancing the overall level of subway safety supervision and daily management, strengthening the early warning response capabilities of enterprises, society, and government regarding settlement disasters, and establishing a comprehensive evaluation method for settlement deformation risk that facilitates safety management and risk control during subway operation.
