The electronic compass navigates and controls underwater robots.

Underwater robots, also known as unmanned remotely operated vehicles, are robots used for extreme underwater operations. These robots are often used in harsh and dangerous underwater environments or in situations where human access is impossible. The invention and application of underwater robots have opened up possibilities for underwater exploration, underwater photography, underwater aquaculture, underwater detection, and underwater scientific research. Since they operate without human presence, underwater robots must not only have an automatic control system, an underwater communication system, and a water environment detection system, but also a precise navigation and positioning system. Among these, the electronic compass plays an important role in determining the heading of the underwater robot.

During operation, underwater robots typically need to control and adjust their movement through an automatic control system and communication system to reach the correct work location. To ensure that the robot can successfully reach its destination, it is essential to monitor and adjust its underwater position. The robot's sonar can be used to detect obstacles and nearby objects, preventing collisions during underwater navigation. The GPS positioning system is used to measure the real-time coordinate position of the underwater robot, while the electronic compass can measure the robot's orientation and send its heading to the control system for comparison with the destination's orientation, allowing for appropriate navigation adjustments. This measurement of heading is especially important during remote operations.

The HCM385 electronic compass developed by Msensor Sensor is a cost-effective three-axis electronic compass module. This product utilizes PNI's magnetic sensing technology and soft magnetic calibration, resulting in extremely precise heading measurement accuracy. Our company has many years of experience in the research and development and manufacturing of heading sensor products. The product's measurement values are stable and reliable, with low power consumption and small size, making it a popular product that meets various measurement requirements.
