The selection of tilt sensors is relatively critical compared to other sensors. For the commonly used dual-axis tilt sensors, they have many characteristics, not only measuring small angles but also exhibiting different personalities in the same environment. When choosing a tilt sensor, we must first consider the measurement environment; harsh environments and size requirements must take into account whether protective casings are needed. Secondly, we should consider the measurement accuracy and range of the tilt sensor. Generally, dual-axis tilt sensors can be selected within 360 degrees, and issues related to measurement accuracy and output are primarily determined by data values. It is very important to pay attention to the environmental issues when selecting tilt sensors, as different environments can affect the measurement results of most tilt sensors, and some tilt sensors may even lose effectiveness in certain environments.
The installation of tilt sensors requires certain skills. Generally, tilt sensors will have built-in zero position adjustments, and users can customize the zero position adjustment button according to their needs, thus achieving zeroing performance at a certain angle. Before installing the tilt sensor, it is necessary to determine your installation position and what angle you need to measure relative to which plane.
