WL500M wireless tilt sensor, used for safety monitoring of warehouse shelves
The storage of goods in warehouses and the safety issues of shelves cannot be ignored. Every year, countless accidents occur due to hidden dangers in warehouses, among which accidents caused by the tilting and collapse of shelves have caused many enterprises and individuals to pay a painful price. Therefore, preventing the collapse of storage shelves is of utmost importance, especially during this peak shopping season when warehouses are overflowing; monitoring shelf safety is urgent.
The traditional method of monitoring shelves is through manual observation of their status, which cannot timely detect abnormalities such as tilting due to aging, tilting caused by forklift collisions, and tilting from long-term loads. Msensor Sensors has developed the WL500M wirelesstilt angle sensor, along with a monitoring solution that can comprehensively and in real-time monitor local deformations and tilting of shelves that are not visible to the naked eye.
By fixing the tilt angle sensor at the top of the shelf, it monitors the verticality of the shelf's columns. Once the tilt value exceeds the set threshold, an alarm will be triggered promptly, allowing the shelf to be restored to a healthy state at the lowest cost in the first instance. This also provides a solid data foundation for the layout of warehouse shelves, forklift performance KPIs, shelf health predictions, and the prevention of safety accidents.
